Description:

Along with Black Mountain, Mount Boucherie is a landmark of Kelowna. Being the center piece of West Kelowna the area is accessible from several different trailheads of varying difficulty but all will provide you with great views of Okanagan lake and some of the valleys best wineries. Once you are on the trail it is largely a steep climb from most of the paths. Most of the routes are largely composed of shale rock that can be slippery in sections which is why this is labeled a "hard" hike. The paths themselves are almost completely exposed to the sun for the whole way. This is because the area was ravaged with a fire a few years back which just adds more charm to the hike.

Located at the top of Mount Boucherie are several popular climbing spots perfect for practicing outdoor bouldering close to town.
